Argument: The testimony of the police commissioner George Edward Grodman sent to the gallows for the murder of Hannah Kendall of an innocent man. Grodman was forced to resign and his rival John R. Buckley is appointed in his place.
One night after a party at Grodman, whose guests include Clive Russell, a member of Parliament, Arthur Kendall, Hannah's nephew, the latter is killed. ---
My comment : Entertaining film Don Siegel, with a good story and develops Amenta, if somewhat predictable and clear if you are attentive to the initial approach.
However, despite what is coming is the leitmotiv of the case, we must agree that Siegel, here still learning the ropes, get in the first place, an exquisite setting, immersing us in a story with elements of thriller, black and mystery genre.
this, we'll see that it is not so bad, but it and fine filmmaker, mainly thanks to the wonderful black and white photography and adequate lighting, along with the good of the great interpreters get a movie that makes hanging out with no effort.
A Siegel work where she honed the expressive power of his film work .
