Plot: It tells the true story of Dicky Eklund, a boxer become coach who now has many serious problems with the crack, and his brother Micky Ward, who referred to family discipline, sees her sporting life turns to an end without removing performance.

My opinion: Good film, based on real events that produced by one of the two protagonists, Mark Wahlerg, manages to engage and entertain in equal measure.
And what makes it eminently by its history, a somewhat surprising story that falls squarely in the dramatic film realistic, where feelings by each member of a "united" family afloat emptying out various reactions, sometimes funny, other terrible, always full of humanity (in the sense that it can be more human, but not always positive).
an intense pace, great dialogue and sublime performances where Melissa Leo greatly emphasizes the role of the mother of the clan (and what mother ...!), Holy God loves the movie, go beyond what the boxing movie shows almost always.
In my opinion, well worth, and I think Melissa Leo has the Oscar for best supporting actress in his pocket.
